The Dolphin Square Foundation was established in 2005 with an
endowment of more than £80m from the Dolphin Square Trust Ltd,
following the sale of its leasehold interests in the residential estate
Dolphin Square, in Pimlico, Central London.

DSF has the objective of providing assistance in securing accommodation
within the City of Westminster for those in need as a result of their
employment (typically in the public, voluntary or related sectors) or as
a result of financial hardship, social or economic conditions, age, ill health, disability or other need, deprivation or disadvantage.

The chair, Ian Henderson CBE, has stated "This money provides
a wonderful opportunity to establish a charity which will have an
impact long into the future. Housing is one of the biggest challenges
facing urban areas like Westminster and the foundation will dedicate
itself to ensuring that it is a challenge we are able to meet."
